I’ll start with this… In all honesty, not everything can be saved.
In this case, for example, the above photograph originally had a small baby mobile hanging over the bed. Unfortunately, due to the damage from a flood – the majority of the mobile was removed from the original. I had to remove the mobile from the final retouched image.

After removing the stains from water exposure, I edited out all the natural grainy flecks from the photograph. The process is different for every photo restoration, but in this particular case – it took about three hours of editing time.
